The Beauty of God's Grace
Makeup and God’s grace have something in common… they both make me look way better than I really am! Although there are days that I go with out makeup, I never want to go a day without God’s grace in my life. His grace covers my flaws. It is by his grace that I can be the wife, mom, and leader He has called me to be. When I am incapable, His grace (unmerited favor, loving-kindness and mercy) is all I need.
2 Corinthians 12:9 says “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” Wow! God knows I can’t do it all myself, and He doesn’t expect me to either! I don’t know about you but that sure gives me hope…the Proverbs 31 woman can be a realistic goal! His grace at work in my life causes me to be successful at raising three godly kids (3, 2, and 10 months), building a happy marriage and home and serving in the ministry! You can do all the things God has called you to do too but only with his grace.
Oswald Chambers said, “It is impossible to get exhausted in work for God. We get exhausted because we try to do God’s work in our own way.” So the next time you find yourself “exhausted” from all the demands of life, remember you don’t have to do it alone. Let God’s grace go to work. You will be amazed at how much more He can do through you!
Isaiah 41:10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
