Your Heart Shall Know No Fear

"Yes, though a mighty army marches against me, my heart shall know no fear! I am confident that God will save me." - Psalm 27:3

I read the book of Psalms every month, and I've read this verse many times. But as I read it again, the little phrase, "...my heart shall know no fear" stands out to me. You know how it is when things come up in this life-sickness, financial struggles, and issues with children, friends or church members. It seems there are countless opportunities to become overwhelmed with fear.

But I want to encourage you in this: We don't have to fear. We have the choice. Just like David did in this Psalm, we can decide that our "hearts shall know no fear." I know that living with faith rather than fear sounds a lot easier than it is. I've stood behind the pulpit before, speaking to others about faith, while I was shaking in my shoes! But in these fearful times, we've got to realize that God wants to help us. He wants to strengthen our faith.

The Living Bible's translation of Romans 10:17 says, "Yet faith comes from listening to the Good News-the Good News about Christ."  You've probably heard this verse hundreds of times as I have, but as simple as it seems, it only works when we actually live it out. When we take time to meditate on God's Word, it will produce a steady growth of faith. It will result in us seeing our marriages, families and ministries healthy, whole, happy, blessed and prosperous. With faith, we have everything we need to be victorious!

I am so very proud of the life that each of you is leading. I know that when you get to Heaven, God will have a great reward for you! Never forget that you are making a difference right where you are. For my husband John and me, that place was in Houston, TX. We loved our church and community and watched God bless it tremendously. I encourage you to do the same for your area. Don't have fear that things won't work out. Have faith. Live with confidence that God will bless your families, churches and communities. He always fulfills His promises!

I love you and am proud of you,
